1. My hometown, Iaşi, is well-known for its historical and cultural heritage.
2. The Palace of Culture, the National Theatre, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Moldova and Bucovina are some of the many symbols of this city.
3. Visitors can enjoy their time and also improve their knowledge about the Romanian culture in a large number of museums in Iaşi, such as the "Vasile Pogor" Literature Museum, the Union Museum (Palace of Alexandru Ioan Cuza), the Art Museum, the Museum of History and the Ethnographic Museum, the last three being situated inside the Palace of Culture.
4. There are also many large and picturesque parks for relaxation, and visitors never miss the occasion to admire the Botanical Gardens or to enjoy the fresh air near the forest, by the Ciric lake.
5. Modern buildings have been raised, impressive malls, office buildings and the new Palace of Justice, the new and old appearance of the city being in complete harmony.
