Dear Diary,
Yesterday I went to Moldova, a region of the country Romania, in the Central Europe. I went to the city Iasi, it was very beautiful there! Apparently, it was the old capital of Romania!
There, I went to Palatul Culturii, built in 1906 and was the old administrative palace of Moldova. In 1955, the destination of the building was changed to a cultural one, becoming the host of some cultural institutions from Iași.
Next, I visited the Monastery of the Holy Three Hierarchs! The Monastery of the Holy Three Hierarchs is an architectural monument located in the traditional center of Iasi, combining traditional structures and shapes with precious materials and lavish decoration. I loved it!
The last place I visited, was Copou Park and Eminescu's Lime Tree. It's a beautiful park and the oldest park of Iasi! In the park there is the oldest monument in Romania: the Monument of the Constitutional Laws known as the Obelisk with Lions. The 15 m high stone column, supported by four lions, symbolizes the four European powers that have recognized the independence of the Romanian Lands.
I really hope I will visit Iasi again!
