In your opinion, will english be more widely spoken in the future? Why(not)? Can you think of any aspects of life where english is or will be the only language used?

Five hundred years ago, between five and seven million people spoke English, almost all of them living in the British Isles. Now, anywhere up to 1.8 billion people around the world speak English.How did this happen?The growth of English has nothing to do with the structure of the language, or any inherent qualities, and everything to do with politics.
Personally, I think that English will ever be the worlds most widely spoken language. Why? Because English is one of the easiest languages in the world, and as I said sooner there is already a lot of people- 1.8 billion- who already speak the language. Plus in every countries the main foreign language that teaches in school is english.
