The Valley of the Kings, also known as The Valley of the Valley of the Gates of the Kings is a valley in Egypt, near Thebes(modern Luxor). There, the pyramids were replaced by tombs cut in rock. These were excavated for the pharaohs of the New Kingdom's dynasties, as well as funerary temples and divine worship temples raised in Luxor and Karnak.
