There isn't a concrete answer to the question mentioned above, alltho there are some benefits and some disanvantages. For example, it is more likely to get your workspace noticed in a busy city centre (from the owner's view). Still, with more people come more problems : a noisy street, a lot of cars and polution, etc. I think that a noisy street isnt the best idea, take for example Tokyo's main road, it has a lot of shops nearby but people cant enjoy a nice evening. It all comes down to preference, if you like the dark air, noise and people then you could go there, but most people dont want to spend their afternoons that way!
