Răspuns: It was a dark and stormy night. John was on his way home. He was very tired, after a long day of tiresome work. John is a 28-year old man, who lives in Washington, and works minimum-wage at a local small restaurant chain.
He was just two blocks away from his apartment, when he saw a small dark figure passing the corner right in front of him, he was scared at first, but then he swallowed his fear and checked it out. He found nothing.
The dark figure was gone, it had disappeared into the night. Confused and a bit startled, he kept walking. But then, just a few steps later, there it was. It was the dark figure. But this time, it had stopped in front of him. It was a small, black cat, with a small little pink nose, long tail and very smooth silky, and fluffy fur.
He found it cute, and he, a cat-lover, just couldn't resist. It looked abandoned, with no nametag to be seen. He took it home, gave it food and water. He had adopted it. The cat was a bit distant from him at first, but then got used to waking up to his new owner. He treated it like a small little king.
Now it was his pet, he had named it "Cotton". He slowly grew attached to it, giving it all the love he had to offer. Every day Cotton would greet him after work, after he'd have waited for him all day, asking for the food and pets that he deserves.
John was happy with his new little furry buddy. He had a new friend, and a new room mate, who didn't pay for rent nor did the dishes. But, still, Cotton, was the little thing that John was looking for in his life. And that's the story of how Cotton found his new owner, after living on the streets for a long time.
