-You discover new hobbies, preferances, etc.
-It is preparing you for the upcoming life.
-You do not have to worry about much.

Why adolescence is not the best period of your life:
-You experience puberty ( a not-so-enjoyable phase)
-You experience what it's like to be a rebel (again, another one of those phases)
-You start not caring about school, which is very important!
-You make many unprofessional choices in this period, meaning you will manage to harm yourself and others mentally or physicly( nui scris corect cuvintul asta stiu)
