It was a sunny Saturday morning when my dad decided we should try volunteering.
I had always been a fan of nature as my parents were quite keen on making my siblings and I understand the concept of pollution from a very young age. Therefore, we had decided we were going to go to our local beach and help the volunteers by offering a hand with cleaning all the trash that the people had left.
While helping everyone, I had noticed my little sister digging for something in the sand. At first, I thought it was just a bottle or a plastic bag, but when I had gone to check on her, she had pulled out a box! Everyone had gathered around us, trying to open it. Unfortunately, we had no luck so we had decided to bring it home with us.
After getting home, the main task on our list was opening that box. It looked quite old, the wood had started to rot and it the keyhole was completely broken. We had managed to break it open by destroying the box. Inside, there was an antique golden watch which we had decided to keep, to remember this for years to come.
That was a day we will never forget!
