Most people watch too much television
These days, there are more and more people who are getting addicted to TV. Teachers and parents are getting really worried about the kids' future and learning. Because of watching too much television, they have trouble reading faster and their eyes are constantly tired. Nowadays, books are  finally transformed into movies, so who cares about reading the book now that you can watch the movie. It's got more action and it's more 'fun' than reading a plain book which can take up to even a month worth of reading. However, scientifical studies have proven that reading books, any kind of books, from fiction (fantasy, romance, comedy) to nonfiction (a newspaper article, an encyclopedia) can train your mental skills: concentration and memory.
