I think the most important room in the house is a combined living and dinning room because this is the only room in the house every family member uses all the time and at the same time as other family members. This is even true if someone only walks thoroug the room to get to the kitchen for example. The living room is the most important room for communication and interaction amongst the family. Interaction occurs by having fun with your family members, doing all kinds of activties, or only spending time with eachother. For a family as a whole it is very important to have family actvities like playing games, hosting guests, or watching a movie on TV. The living room is also a good place for indivudual activities like reading, working on a project or doing homework if there is a dining table. A family will most likely disscuss most problems, issues, news (good of bad) in the living room.

The living room is also the room unlike other rooms that all guests of the house will see. This is one reason why good family pictures, memories and most decorative articels are displayed in the living room.

Finally, I like living rooms that have an area for a dinning table. Enjoying meals as a family is a very important task which is sometimes hard to accomplish. The more members a family has the more complicated the scedules become. But like I mentioned before, the communication in a family is very important. Once everyone sits at one table, it is easy to disscuss problems, tell news, tell stories, have fun and laugh.

Most family members might not spent the most amount of their time in the living room, but if they are in that biggest room of the house, there is the most amount of communication and interaction between the family members. These facts makes it reasonable to call the living room the most important room in the house.
