The project was inspired by Eugene of Savoy. The main body of the fortress resembles that of an irregular heptagon. The starry plan has a defensive role. It maximized the view for the artillery. The largest bastion is called Trinity. The fortress is remarkable because of the great use of the terrain it shows and because it has been preserved really well.
