Why do people use social media so much?

Well, to start it off, is very addicting and many kids,teenagers and adults spend hours on days on it, but why tho?
In the land of social media, there are a lot of things you can do. For example: socialize with other people, watch videos for your entertaiment, play games and other addicting stuff.
Some people use social media so much because they admire someone and they are OBSESSED with them. But, to put it simply, there is a lot of entertaiment for everybody that makes you want to do a thing more and more times.
So, in conclusion, people use social media so much because of the entertaiment, either if is bad or if it is good.
