My dear pupil,

We are already living in the 21st century so I will try and describe as best as possible how I see contemporary life. You are probably working with an old textbook.

Since the industrial revolution took place in the 18th century, mankind was headed towards a new era where advancements in all areas of science were made. To be fair, most of the comforts we enjoy today such as the car, TV, radio, telephone, computer came about during the next century. While in the early1900s cinematography was invented, widespread TV use became available 60 years later. As we can see, progress is a matter of slow observation and self-correction of preiously acquired data. Apart from the entertainment aspect of the 21st century, we have all benefited from fast-paced evolution of medical procedures. What remains for us to do is to be grateful that all of these conveniences are at our disposal and hope to one day make a contribution on future wellbeing of humanity.
