On Thanksgiving Day we celebrate everything that we have: a home, loved ones, pets, food, and so on. Getting together on this day is something every member of my family is looking forward to. Aunt Mary cooks her favorite traditional recipes, including her famous turkey. I help with making the stuffing, and my younger sister makes the cranberry sauce. The food is ready and looks delicious. We sit down to eat, but not before saying a few words about this celebration. Our father stands up and tells us everything he is thankful for: his beautiful children, his lovely wife, and his healthy parents, also his well paying job at the factory, and of course, his TV where he can watch the game every Saturday evening. We all laugh and start eating the delicious meal we all helped prepare, enjoying each other's company.
It's great to have a family gathering such as this one and remember to be thankful for every bit of goodness in our lives.
