Kids usually stay at their grandparents houses for the holidays, however, that is not the case for me. I stay at my aunt's house so that I can spend more time with my cousins.
One day, while at her house, my aunt was making dinner when she asked us where the vase in the hallway was. Neither me nor my cousins were intending to admit that we broke it so we began blaming everything on the cat. In adition, one of my cousins, even said that perhaps someone broke in. Mere seconds after we told our side of the story, my aunt was laughing. Although we had not seen her, she saw us. For instance, we would have felt very guilty, but the tone in my aunt's voice was cheery, and didn't suggest we would get scolded. Mereover, we got some apple pie that night.
