Technology, a thing of wonders. Modern day society revolves around technology, be it the internet, traffic signs or a heart monitor in a hospital. To many, technology is a thing they cannot live without (For some patients with diseases or conditions it is literally true) but it has become so much so that we have forgotten about the outside world.
We're all being so focused on the technological world and it's advancements that we've turned a blind eye to everything else. While we've tuning in on the Internet War for the number 1 spot on Youtube or the Best smartphone released and it's specifications, we've completely shut down anything else. When's the last time you went on a trip to an exotic place, or camped for the night in the woods? Could you survive a night in the wilderness without any technology? Or perhaps go on a pilgrimage and walk hundreds of miles?While these things would've been easy for the most worthless people of the old times, for most of us, it would be a great challenge. Why, you may ask? It is very simple. We're not focused on survival, battle and great wars anymore. We're not the hunks of meat our ancestors were. And even though we're technologically advanced, we'd soon perish if it would suddenly disappear.
In conclusion, we've become so attached to modern day technology, that we no longer have even the most basic survival skills. Even though technology is a good thing, we shouldn't let it take over our lives and hinder our ability to interact, travel and live in the true sense of the meaning. As a Marvel character once said, "There must be balance in all things".
