The most beautiful expression of human thoughts is art. Its beginnings are lost in the mists of history. In the current period we know all the stages that art has gone through. We know that prehistoric people expressed their beliefs, feelings and described their way of life and left a legacy to their descendants through art. A clear proof of this are the cave paintings in the caves such as the one from Lascaux in France, but also the small statuettes or the statuary groups examples thanks to the Thinker from Hamangia.

Ce-a mai frumoasa exprimare a gandurilor omului este arta. Inceputurile ei se pierd in negura istoriei. In perioada actuala cunoastem toate etapele prin care a trecut arta. Stim ca oamenii preistorici isi exprimau credintele, sentimenetele si isi descriau modul de viata si lasau o mostenire urmasilor prin arta. O dovada clara a acestui lucru sunt picturile rupestre din pesteri cum ar fi cea de la Lascaux din Franta, dar si micile statuiete sau grupurile statuare exempli gratia Ganditorul de la Hamangia .
