I found myself in a dangerous situation when I was walking home from a birthday one night. It was dark and there were no streetlights, so I couldn't see where I was going. I tripped on a curb and fell into the street, just as a car was coming around the corner. The driver swerved to avoid me and crashed into a tree. I was lucky that I wasn't hit by the car or seriously injured.
