My opinion about Darth Vader is not the popular one.

Darth Vader is an absolute ....and I don't even know where to start...
Besides all the rubbish decisions he made in the prequel, Darth Vader actually never went beyond them in the original trilogy, for decades he blindly followed the emperor like a loyal dog without having any word in anything.
He has no purpose, his character was never going anywhere he just looks badass with the suit on and that's what appeals to people and whenever I ask about some internal traits that can be appealing in Vader I get the most confused answers because the person I speak to start to realize that Vader is actually nothing but a badass appearance.
Vader is a servant to the emperor with no vision of his own, stupid and easily manipulated and above all obsessed with the ancient religion of the Jedi/Sith to a point where commanders around him no longer takes him seriously anymore.
"I find you lack of faith disturbing"
No Vade, I find your blind faith disturbing...
And where did that led you? Nowhere, he accomplished nothing at all
