Cerinta: Trece propozitiile urmatoare la vorbirea indirecta:
2. Mr Carter asked me where I was going.
3. Amy asked if I was going to eat in the cafeteria.
4. Roz asked whether I had mailed that letter for her.
5. Della asked me where I was going on my vacation.
6. I asked her if she liked my new hat.
7. He asked me how I was that day.
8. I asked the salesclerck what the price of that tie was.
9. She asked me when I would get back from my trip.
10. He asked her what time it was.
11. The passenger asked when we would land.
12. Then he asked whether it took longer to go by bus or by train.
13. She asked me what time it was.
14. He asked me how long had I studied English.
EXPLICATIE:
Vorbirea indirecta se foloseste pentru a transmite ceea ce altcineva a spus. De cele mai multe ori, verbul din propozitia principala este la timpul trecut (he said that, he told me,he asked, etc). Nu putem avea timp trecut in principala si timp prezent in secundara. Si-atunci, timpurile din propozitia secundara se vor transforma, astfel: present simple in past simple; present continuous in past continuous;past simple in past perfect simple; present perfect simple in past perfect simple; past continuous in past perfect continuous, future in future in te past.
