It's a miracle
This story happened when I was in middle school. It was a normal day of autumn, until I realized I forgot my hat in the locker. It wasn't a special hat, but I really wanted to get it back.. Who knows, I didn't want to lose it. While I was returning, I saw a little baby bird. It looked like it fallen from a nest.
I didn't want to help it, because maybe it's mom was looking for it, and since my focus was on getting my hat, but I felt like I needed to help it. So I got it in my pocket... Yes, it was that small, and I got it with me. I memorized the spot I found it and left.
In a hurry, I got my hat and put the baby bird in it. It was still hurt, of course, but I could take it to a vet safety.
When I got home I told my mom about the bird and she was sad and determined at the same time. Once I left my backpack home, me and my mom got to the vet to help the bird. In the meantime, the baby bird made holes in my hat, because I put it there for a long time. The vet said it wasn't something major, but it still needed treatment.
After a month of treating it and going to the vet, the baby bird still didn't get up, but there was still hope! Until the unexpected happened.
The vet said they didn't realize it was so drastic, and the little guy might not make it. I was shocked, sad and angry.
Maybe if I just left it there, it could've recovered naturally. For a month of hoping the baby bird is okay went by, and it was December, Christmas season.
I thought there was no hope left for the baby bird, I realized that that's just life works, and there's no need to be sad.
Until, on Christmas Eve, I discovered that the baby bird recovered! It could walk and even fly a little! They said that it could fully recover tomorrow! It's a miracle!
