The broken vase

One time, when I was small, my parents went out and left me alone in the house. I was really happy that I had the whole house for myself so I started playing with anything I could find. But when I got into the kitchen, I tripped and knocked over the vase on the table, which happened to be my parents' favorite one. It broke, and I felt horrible. I waited for my parents to come home, so I could tell them what happened. When they came back, I showed them the vase and told them I'm really sorry. They understood and they were glad nothing happened to me.

The moral of the story is, always say sorry when you do something bad, and don't hide it.
