There was once a goat with three kids. The great and the middle were bad, but the little one was hardworking and diligent.
One day, the goat told the kids that they had to go to the woods after something to eat, and they would stay well in the house, play, but not let anyone go to the door until they heard thir mother singing. The wolf stood in the back of the house, heard what the goat had said with the kids, and waited for their mother to leave, wishing to "talk" with their little ones. He began to sing with his thick voice, but nobody opened the door until he went to the blacksmith to shave his tongue and teeth. So he sang again, and managed to trick the bigger ones. The kids thought they would play, as they usually did with the goat mother. As they had not played for so long, because their mother was always busy with household affairs, they enjoyed and opened the door without thinking of any distress. They were hiding, though. Why? For the sake of the game or for fear? They hid: one by the door, another under the roof, and the small one in the chimney. Alone, the little kid had escaped the hungry mouth of the wolf, but only he knew how trembling he was ... The goat came back home and the little kid had told her with tears in his eyes what had happened. The two decided to make a feast for the wolf-eaters and invite the wolf to take revenge. They had prepared for the wolf a trap: a wax seat placed on a mat that had lit the fire. When the wax seat melted, the wolf crashed into the flames.
