The so called 'United Kindgom of Great Britten and Northern Ireland' is a state firstly formed in 1707, under Queen Anne. During the time, it has changed; several colonies had been added and other territories had been lost, thou the UK resisted and became a great colonial, economical and even maritime power. It's highest point of power can be noticed in the so called 'Victorianism' - the period in which Queen Victoria ruled, along with her husband, Alfred, the United Kindgom. We can notice engineers like Isambard Kindgom Brunel coming togheter with great artists: Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of 'Sherlock Holmes'. This constitutional monarchist entity has played a big role in the last two centuries' history influencing wars and spreading peace throughout the world.
