• Cum se formează

a) the present simple ;

b) the present continuous .

a) The present simple:

- use = se folosește când avem:

- routine , habits , repeated activities = rutină , obiceiuri , activități repetate ;

ex: I visit my grandparents every Christmas . ;

- permanent situations = situații permanente ;

ex: I live ... I work ... . ;

- short stories , jokes , commentaries = povești scurte , glume , comentarii ;

ex: He catches the ball ... passes it too ... ;

- laws of nature = legile naturii ;

ex: Water boils at 100°C . ;

- timetables , fixed things = orare , lucruri fixe .

ex: The train leaves at ... . ;

- key words: every (day/week/month/year etc.) , always , usually , often , sometimes , rarely/seldom , never = cuvinte cheie: fiecare (zi/săptămână/lună/an etc.) , întotdeauna , de obicei , des , uneori , rar, niciodată .

b) The present continuous:

- use = se folosește când avem:

- action that happens at the moment , temporary activities = acțiune care se întâmplă în acest moment, activități temporare ; OBS ! vb + "-ing" + today/tomorrow/this week etc. ;

ex: I'm going out today . ;

- changing/developing situations = situații în schimbare/dezvoltare ;

ex: It's getting dark outside . ;

- future arragements = planuri de viitor ;

ex: I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow . ;

- criticism about somebody/something = critică la adresa cuiva/ceva ; OBS ! vb + "-ing" + always/all the time ;

ex: She's always talking behind my back . ;

- form: vb + "-ing" .
