Put the verbs in brackets in the Simple Past to find out what happened to Mike last Monday:
He (walk).... to the park. There he (see)... a very nice dog. Mike (want) ....to have a pet because all his friends (have).... one.
He(run) ...after the dog and when he (be).. near the dog,he (stroke)....it. He (take).....it home. Of course,Mike(feel)... very gappy.
When he (get).... home the dog (start)...to bark. A few minutes later a policeman (come) ....and (ask).... Mihe to give the dog back.
The boy (begin)....to cry and the policeman (feel)...sorry for him.

He walked to the park. There he saw a very nice dog. Mike wanted  to have a pet because all his friends had one.
He ran after the dog and when he was near the dog, he stroked it. He took it home. Of course, Mike felt very happy.
When he got home the dog started to bark. A few minutes later a policeman came and asked Mike to give the dog back.
The boy began to cry and the policeman felt sorry for him.
