B: I (was) at home but you (were probably ringing) me when I (was raking) the leaves outside in the garden. Why?

3. A: How long (did you live) in Sydney before you (moved) back to London?
B: We (lived) in Sydney for ten years when the company that Richard (was working) for (offered) him a position at the London office.

B: Yes. We (were) both excited about coming home so Richard (accepted) the job immediately.
