When I saw who it was, I ran across the road to meet her... It was my new dog that my parents have gifted me! I was so excited to meet her. I decided to call her Ruby and we got along pretty well. She was the best animal I could've ever asked for.
I've owned her for 2 years, but one day when I woke up she was just gone. I searched for her all across the house; nowhere to be seen by anyone. Me and my parents had panicked so we tried asking each person in our small village. No one had seen her anywhere.
I started crying knowing I'll never see Ruby again. My dog was the only friend I had and the only one to comfort me as I had no friends and I was going through hard times.
It's been a whole month and I was so upset. I missed each memory with her that I've made, but... I had the hope that I could still be able to find her, she could still be there in the wild.
I got dressed up in the night as my parents were asleep and quietly went out of the house with my bike. I drove off to a forest that was near the other village; that was the last place that my parents and I didn't check since Ruby disappeared that morning. I drove with my bike around a lot of parts of the forest, and then, I saw her...
She was covered in mud, had scars, looked thirsty, and hungry... It made me so sad seeing her like that. I wanted to take her home and tell my parents, but there's one thing I never realized: The forest slowly started catching up on fire faster and faster, more and more, as I was trying to find the way that I came there...
I'm watching my parents right now from up there. I'm proud of them, it's been a while, I just wish I could say hi to them, but until I'd see them again, I'm happy that Ruby is next to me.
