Here are some of the weddings that have made history in Windsor. November 20, 1947, Princess Elizabeth of England was married Philip Mountbatten, Prince of Greece and Denmark and then leads Edimbourgh. The two had met a year ago. The future Queen was only 21 years old. Queen Elizabeth of England coronation took place five years later, in 1952. Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen and the royal family, is also an ideal place for weddings.
