Read the passage and write what Sam did for his sister.

One night some twenty years ago, when two of my brothers were ill, my youngest sister, fanny, was moved into the room I shared with my brother Sam. I was fifteen, Sam was seventeen. At about two in the morning Fanny's crying wakened me. Sam turned the light on and got out of bed.
"The bottle's on the table, mother said"., I told him. "I give it to her some time ago", Sam said. "She isn't hungry." He went over to the bookcase. I sat up in bed. "What are you going to do?" I said. "I will read something to her", Sam said and took down a book. "She is only ten months old", I said. I know", Sam said. The story Sam read to fanny that night was his favourite tale. To this day, Fanny remembers how Sam read it to her.
