I spent the last weekend in Holland. It is a very relaxing place to be and the atmosphere is always friendly. People are very friendly and they speak English very well. They are willing to communicate with you in any language they can without complaining that you can't speak theirs.

My favorite place to be in Amsterdam was downtown. The houses are very colorful and pretty and the river flows through the city so beautifully. There are many nice little pubs where I met new friends. Did you know that Holland has two names? It is also called The Netherlands. And the language is called Dutch! It sounds like a combination of German and English. It is all so confusing and complicated... but I feel like I have learnt so many fun and new things from this experience.

I can't wait to return to Holland next month for a whole week. I am going to see my new friends again and I want to take them out to a movie one day. Oh dear, I hope I can handle watching something with Dutch subtitles!
