I have many friends but one of them is special.It can do a lot of things.It helps me do my homework,chat with my friends amd play differet games.I feel so good when I sit in front of my computer and use the mouse and the keyboard.I click the mouse to give commands to the computer.Adults can use compututers is business,in education ,and in medical service.Many school,affices,factories,hospitals and homes have computers.Secretaries use them to write letters,writers use them to write books,bankers use them to store and transfer information,children use them to play games.The difference between computers and other machines is in the program.It can change the computer from a game machine into a teaching machine,or from am office machine into an engineering machine.The program is a set of instructions.It "tells"the computer what to do.The computer can understand the instructions very quickly.We can write programs that tell the computer to translate from one language into another,to teach various topics ,to correct mistakes,etc.The computer is the cleverest machine of the twenentieth century.

Am o gramada de prieteni,dar unul dintre ei este foarte special. Poate face o multime de lucruri. Ma ajuta sa imi fac temele,sa vorbesc cu prietenii si sa ma joc diferite jocuri. Ma simt bine cand stau pe scaun in fata calculatorului si folosesc mausul si tastatura. Apas mouse ul sa ii dau comenzi calculatorului. Adultii folosesc calculatorul in afaceri,in educatie si in servicii medicale. Multe scoli,oficii,case au calculatoare. Multe secretoare folosesc calculatorul sa scrie scrisori,scriitorii sa scrie carti,bancherii le folosesc sa acumuleze si sa transmita informatii,copii le folosesc sa se joace jocuri. Diferenta dintre calculatoare si celelalte masini este in program. El poate transforma calculatorul dintr o masinarie de jucat jocuri,intr una de invatat,sau de la o masinarie de oficii intr o masinarie de inginerie. Programul este un set de instructii. El "spune" calculatorului ce sa faca.Calculatorul poate intelege instructiile foarte repede. Noi putem scrie programe care traduc dintr o limba in alta,sa invete valoroase topuri,sa corecteze greseli,etc. Calculatorul este cea mai inteligenta masinarie din toate cele 20 de secole.
