Matilda is the heroine of the book of the same name, written by Roald Dahl and published in 1988.
Matilda, she is a brilliant little girl, as she has rarely met before. He learned to read from the age of three. She is passionate about reading, but she has a big problem: her mediocre family. Parents are not very caring. She is not even interested in her safety and well-being, let alone discuss the girl's education. Her father, Mr. Wormwoods, would rather talk all day about his work and his miserable business of trying to trick his customers into buying second-hand cars. His brother admires his father, and his mother is a fan of television and hairdressing. In fact, his whole family prefers to watch TV shows to the detriment of reading a book. Most of the time, Matilda's punishments are the deprivation of reading books in her room, books borrowed from the library, of course, because her mother only buys magazines at home, unfortunately. So the books I read are from the city's library, where Mrs. Phelps recommends a varied list of books, even the most advanced. Having such a family, Matilda tries to teach her parents a lesson every time they misbehave with her. So she sets up 3 pranks for her father: she sticks his hat to his head, disguises the neighbor's parrot in a ghost and tangles the hair oil he uses every morning in front of the mirror with his mother's fading paint. The whole family has a not-so-pleasant surprise when the father appears in front of them with blond hair. Yes. Blond! A businessman painted here and there with a shade of blonde. Matilda starts going to school. From the first day of school, Miss Honey, her educator, realizes how smart little Matilda is.She even goes to the principal of Trunchbull, to ask her for help to transfer the little girl to a more advanced class, but she gets nothing with this visit. She gets the same result by going to Matilda's parents. Meanwhile, the little girl who is passionate about reading befriends Lavender. They meet Hortensia, who tells the children about all the horrible things she does, Mrs. Director Trunchbull. Apparently they saw her one day grabbing Amanda, their colleague, by the hair and then pushing her onto the playground, just because she couldn't stand her braided ponytails. forced a child named Bruce Bogtrotter to eat a whole cake. No one has the courage to mess with the principal. She’s scary. Lavender decides to make a prank on the principal during a class visit. He brought a salamander to school, found in the garden of the house, which he put in the glass of water on the chair. Unfortunately, Matilda is also to blame for this prank and because of the upset and the gaze fixed on Trunchbull, Matilda manages to move the glass of water with the help of the power of the mind and it overturns the director. After classes, Matilda tells the Honey educator what happened, then gives her a new demonstration of her new strength. Miss Honey invites Matilda to her humble little house to recount what she has seen. It seems that the teacher is a poor woman. Honey tells Matilda about her past. After her mother died, her aunt made her life miserable, even suspecting her of her mother's death and of stealing the money she deserved. And as if all these details that surprise Matilda weren't enough, the educator's aunt is Trunchbull. Matilda decides to help Honey with her power, so she starts to practice more and more until she manages to keep this gift in check and to respect the bad director. Trunchbull pays another visit to Honey's class, a good time for Matilda to put your plan into practice. Trunchbull speaks aggressively to the students again until the sound of a piece of chalk interrupts her. Crete alone writes a surprising message on the board asking Trunchbull to return all the stolen items to Honey and disappear as far away as possible. Trunchbull froze at the horror of the message and the thought of the ghost writing on the board. We soon learn that the principal has listened to Matilda's instructions. Honey moves back to her old house and begins to live a quiet and decent life again. But things don't stop there. Matilda's parents are preparing to leave home in a hurry. They are going to move to Spain to get rid of the denunciations of some clients of her father. The girl does not want this and runs home to Honey. In the end, Honey didn't have to insist that Matilda stay with her. They basically left her with the educator without caring about her anymore. But no problem. Only Matilda and Miss Honey had anything to gain. The girl remained in good hands and they both lived happily and intelligently happily ever after.
