One of the biggest concerns in many underdeveloped countries is lack of clean water. Many people from these areas develop serious illnesses, such as trachoma, that causes blindness due to infections.
One 17 year old boy from South Africa, whose name is Ludwick Marishane, started discussing a plan with his friends about inventing some sort of medicine to prevent people getting infected.
Ludwick’s wish to help those born less fortunate had gained momentum, he managed to make a gel’s formula that had the same effect as clean water.
After three years, when he was already in university, he spread his idea to his colleagues and teacher. He got supported and finally released his own product, called “Drybath”, product which brought him many prizes and saved many people’s lives.
