Maleficent 2014 is an American Disney movie that can be classified as an adaptation from the fairytale The Sleeping Beauty. The movie starts with a scene when the fairy Maleficent, who is still young, inexperienced with humans, flies across the realms she rules over in peace and happiness.

But this equilibrium is disrupted when a young boy discovers the edge of the forrest that until then acted as a barrier to protect the magic land from the outside world. Later on, this boy will become the king and although as a child he promised to keep this discovery a secret, he does not manage to keep his promise because of his greed: he wants to conquer the fairy world that lies deep inside the forrest and have all of the riches it possesses.

This king has got a daughter named Aurora that Maleficent played by Angelina Jolie, now a bitter and furious fairy, curses at birth to be stung (sa fie intepata) on her 16th birthday and fall into a deep sleep. Even though the king takes all the precaution measures for this not to happen by removing all the spindles (fus - din ala de tors lana cum era la tara in trecut) from the kingdom, the girl will not manage to escape this temptation later on.

In the meanwhile, while growing up, Aurora, played by Elle Fannning, being curious of nature finds the fairy's realm during one of her walks in the forrest and becomes enchanted with the fairies' way of living. She visits the fairies often so that Maleficent grows fond of her (se ataseaza de ea, ajunge sa o indrageasca) and comes to think of her as a daughter.

But the king's quest (cautarea) for revenge is not finished and so a battle between the fairies and the humans takes place ending with Maleficent's victory even though she was in danger of being captured at a point.
This way peace is restored, and as it happens in every fairytale, they live happily ever after.
