I ve always considered fake friends useless and problematic, because they pretend to be sincere and friendly waiting for you to tell them your secrets, so they can use them against you, without shame. A wild beast can be tamed but a person never changes his attitude and his way of thinking. As it was said, a wild beast can wound your body, but an evil friend can wound your mind, meaning that the body changes and heals but the impression of someone never heals after you have been betrayed by him.
