The importance of the public means of transport

Imagine life without public transport: our parents would have to be late at work, because it happens so many times that pupils must be at school at the same time as their parents. Imagine how much gas would be consumed for so many people in the cities if everyone had a car. No matter what we use to go to school, to work, to other places, buses, trams, subways, trains and planes, they are important as they consume less fuel or energy than if we had to travel in individual means of transport.
One of the conclusions is that public transport is a less polluting means of going from a place to another and it does not affect the jobs of our parents.
Besides, isn't it so much fun to meet a classmate and talk with him until you arrive at school? It is also a socializing means. Otherwise, we would grow up as robots, we would go from home to school and back home for more homework. When would we have time to laugh and chat with persons of our own age?
