The Feast of the Nativity is celebrated on December 25 and continues with two more Orthodox holidays on December 26 and 27.
The Romanian tradition requires that the little ones go from house to house, singing star songs and reciting poems or legends, during the whole Christmas period. The leader carries with him a wooden star, covered with foil and decorated with bells and colored ribbons. An image of the Holy Family is glued to the center of the star and the entire creation is attached to a broomstick or a strong stick.

Christmas in Romania
All over the word there are traditions for Christmas , so just like others us in Romania have traditions too!Most of Romanian kids can’t wait for Christmas because we have a very fun one.On 25 December you wake up and find your gifts under the tree, very excited you open them.After some time your relatives and friends come over to celebrate together with u Christmas.But our special traditions are mostly the food we eat which is Sarmale,Caltabos,toba,cozonac,etc.
