Being an identical twin can have its high and its low points. Greg and Tim, eighteen-years-old twins, talk about their reletionship.
Toghtherness
Greg:Tim and I have always been close-closer than normal brothers.I suppose we do compete with each other but in general we get on very well .At the moment we're studying at colleges in different towns,so I haven't seen him for over six weeks.I miss him.He's my best fried.It's difficult being apart sometimes.
Tim: We often talk on the phone four hours and when we're together there's a constant fight because we want to talk in the same time.We often end up shouting at each other.
SIMILAR PERSONALITIES
Greg: As well as having similar looks,we also have very similar personalities.If one of us is upset, we both are.
Tim:Greg and I are very competitive and very stubborn.
GROWING UP
Tim : When we were very small.our mother dressed us in identical clothes and we hated it.People used to point at us and laugh.It was embarrassing.
Greg: It can be quite stressful being a twin.Sometimes you feel like freak.
SPOOKY TELEPATHY
Greg :I once had appendicitis when I was at home and Tim was away.I had stomach pain from 5 a.m. until I had my appendix out early in the afternoon.That same day Tim woke up at 5a.m. with stomach pains which lasted until exactly the time that I had my appendix out.
Tim : We sometimes have telepathic thoughts but nothing very spooky has happened, except for the appendix thing.

They are a bit unhappy because thy are not together and they miss each other.

They sometimes get angry because when they talk and are together, they want to talk in the same time and they end up by shouting at each other.

They attracted attention when they were very young because their mother used to dress them in identical clothes and people would point at them and laugh.
6. What was strange about Greg's appendicitis?
The telepathy between them, because Tim woke up with stomach pains at exactly the same time as Greg and the pains lasted until Greg's appendix was removed.
