At Hogwarts, a new school year begins, and Harry hears some strange whispers in the empty corridors. Mysterious attacks take place - Dobby's gloomy predictions seem to come true. ) begin to be petrified by a mysterious beast. Harry, Ron and Hermione find out that the beast is a basilisk, a snake that kills you just by looking you in the eye. Tom Marvolo Riddle and Ron's younger sister, Ginny. which everyone fears. Eventually, with the help of Joben and Fawkes (Dumbledore's pheonix bird) Harry defeats the basilisk and destroys Tom thus saving Ginny. At the end of the year, Potter returns to his uncles' house and will endure many evils during the holidays.
