Local libraries are a community place to meet and interact with local people. Local collections provide immediate access to borrow items to tryout or use without buying them: fishing poles, cake pans, garden seeds, DVDs, DIY tools, laptops, etc

The disadvantages

Disadvantages include there are still people that don’t have good internet access at home. Also ‘the internet’ doesn’t provide the facilities libraries provide for students to do group work, or for tutoring lessons or all the myriad reasons people go to the library.
