A good novel is a delight for those who have the intelligence to understand it. Those novels have the power of teleporting the reader's mind into the vast literary universe, of course, only if the mind is open enough for the author to reach it. We come across this situation in music. Few people like and listen to classical music, because few people can feel and appreciate the feelings which the composer puts into it. Same with paintings: everyone can see the pictures and colors but few can see past that, through the paint, directly into the artists's soul, understanding the words hidden in the images.
In conclusion, if one cannot enjoy a good novel, then his/her mind is not open enough for the message hidden between the rows.
