to describe the grandparents cellar    please

My grandparents' cellar is under their house . I like to stay in the cellar in summer time because there is colder than outside. I really like there. I find some old things , dolls and toys that my grandmother has when she was kid . They keep there different types of jam , pickles and marmelade . Their cellar has white walls and a wood brown door  . and to go I there I have to go downstairs . on the stairs my grandparents are keeping a type on carpet.
