Acela este Pamantul! a spus Lovell echipajului sau.Trebuie sa ne pregatim sa aterizam.Prima data astronautii au trebuit sa separe modulul de serviciu de Aquarius si modulul de comanda.Dupa asta ei au privit cum modulul de serviciu dispare la distanta.Apoi ei au intalnit alta problema aceea de a reintra in atmosfera Pamantului,nu a fost usor deloc.Ei puteau sa arda daca ceva mergea prost(gresit),dar normal ca nimeni nu a vorbit despre asta.In final ei s-au decis sa foloseasca oxigenul ramas in modului de comanda si sa abandoneze Aquarius ,deoarece nu voiau sa moara in el.
