Scott was White Fang's new master.He was a good man and soon White Fang began to like him.Later they became friends.Friendship was something new for the dog.He felt it for Scott ,his master,not for Mat.White Fang used to work all day.At night he used to guard his master's things .And he liked what he did.
One day his master began to pack and soon he left.White Fang fell sick for the first time in his life and Mat took him into the house.Then Scott got a letter from Mat:"The dog cannot work,cannot eat.I don't know what to do with him".
One night White Fang got to his feet and ran to the door barking happily.A minute later Scott walked in.When he saw the dog.Scott sat on the floor and stroked the dog's head.White Fang put his head on his master's arm and became silent.He was so happy to see his friend again

Scott era noul stăpân al lui Colţ Alb. El era un om bun şi curând Colţ Alb începu să îl placă. Ei au devenit prieteni mai târziu. Prietenia era ceva nou pentru câine. El simţea asta pentru Scott, dar nu şi pentru Mat. Colţ Alb lucra zi şi noapte. Noapte el păzea posesiunile stăpânului său. Lui îi plăcea lucrul său.
Într-o zi stăpânul său a început să îşi strângă lucrurile şi la scurt timp după asta a plecat. Colţ Alb s-a îmbolnăvit pentru prima dată şi Mat l-a primit în casă. Apoi scot a primit o scrisoare de la Mat: "Câinele nu poate lucra, nu poate mânca. Nu ştiu ce să mă fac cu el."
Într-o noapte Colţ Alb a sărit în picioare şi a fugit spre uşă, lătrând fericit. Un minut mai târziu a intrat Scott. Când l-a văzut, Scott s-a aşezat pe podea şi a început să netezească capul câinelui. Colţ Alb şi-a pus capul pe mâna stăpânului şi a tăcut. Era atât de fericit să îşi vadă din nou prietenul.
