As you are walking through the woods a small butterfly flutters by.Its bright colourful wings shine in the sunlight.Under the shadow of a tree you see a fawn.Its fur has white speckles.When it lies or stands motionless it blends with the sunlight and grass.It is almost impossible to see it.Then you come across a nest of baby hares hidden in the soil.Their grey-brown colouring blends with the background.When they sense that an enemy is near,they lie very still until the danger has passed.If they don't move,the enemy will not see them.The hare changes the colour of its fur with the seasons.During the summer its grey-brown colour matches the soil and leaves.Late in autumn,white fur grows and replaces the hare's brown coat.This allows the hare to blend with the white snow .In winter ,the hare is all white except for its ears and small spot on its nose.In spring the colour changes again, and the hare becomes brown.As the hare is active both in summer and it winter, these colour changes are necessary to itssurvival.Some animals can change their body colour to match dozens of backgrounds.The lizard's skin colour changes due to differences in emotions,light and temperature.Every meadow ,field ,forest and reverbank is hame to various animals.Watching them can give us new knowledge about the wonders and mysteries of living things.

In timp ce mergi prin padure, un mic fluture zboara prin prejur. Aripile colorate stralucesc in lumina soarelui. Sub umbra unui copac poti vedea un pui de cerb. Blana lui are pete albe. Cand se intinde sau sta nemiscat "se amesteca" cu lumina soarelui si iarba. Este aproape imposibil sa-l vezi. Apoi treci pe langa un cuib de pui de iepure ascunsi in pamant.
