Myths and legends
Myths are traditional stories occurring in a timeless past. They involve supernatural elements and are beyond the frontiers of logic. Long ago, when our ancestors heard the sound of thunder and saw lightning, they were often frightened because they could not understand why these things happened. In order to understand these and other natural events, they created stories. The stories were handed down from generation to generation all around the world.

Miturile sint povesti traditionale care au avut loc intr-un trecut indepartat. Ele includ elemente supranaturale si depasesc orice logica. Cu mult timp in urma, cand stramosii auzeau tunetul sau vedeau trasnetul, erau deseori inspaimantati, deoarece nu puteau intelege de ce ce se intamplau aceste lucruri. Ca sa inteleaga [eu as fi spus: "in order to explain to themselves = ca sa isi explice"] aceaste fenomene, precum si altele, au inventat povesti. Povestile au fost transmise din generatie in generatie imprejurul intregii lumi.
