One day the hare sees the tortoise and says:"I'm the fastest animal in the forest .No one can beat me.Do you want to race me ti the river?"
"I do" says the tortoise.
"HA!HA!HA!",laughs the hare ."You cannot beat me!"
"Just let me try :,says the tortoise .
And so the hare and the tortoise begin .The hare runs very fast.
"There's the river"says the hare.
"It doesn't take me long to get there.
The tortoise is far behind me-I can stopand rest for a white!"
So the hare sits down under a big tree and soon he falls asleep.
The tortoise walks on slowly.He does not stop to rest .
At last the hare wakes up.
"I must hurry and get to the river"
He runs as fast as he can .But soon he can see the tortoise sitting by the river.
"Oh ,no !"he says."It can't be true !"
"Oh yes !It can! I'm slow, but I do not stop to rest !"says the tortoise .
Slow ut sure wins the race.

Iepurele salbatic si brasca testoasa
Intr-o zi iepurele a vazut-o pe broasca testoasa si a zis : "Sunt cel mai rapid animal din padure.Nimeni nu ma poate invinge.Vrei sa te intreci cu mine pana la rau?"
"Vreau" a zis broasca testoasa
"Ha-ha-ha",a ras iepurele. "Nu ma poti infrange"
"Lasa-ma sa incerc" spune broasca testoasa
Asa ca iepurele si broasca testoasa au inceput.Iepurele fugea foarte repede.
"Uite raul!"spuse iepurele
"Nu mi-a luat mult sa ajung aici" 
Testoasa e departe de mine-pot sa ma odihnesc pentru un timp"
Broasca testoasa mergea incet.Ea nu s-a oprit sa se odihneasca
Dupa un timp iepurele s-a trezit
"Trebuie sa ma trezesc si sa ajung la rau""
El a fugit cat de repede a putut.Dar in curand el a putut vedea broasca testoasa stand langa rau.
"Oh,nu"zise el. "Nu poate fi adevarat!
"Ba da,se poate!"Sunt inceata,dar nu ma opresc sa ma odihnesc"spune broasca testoasa
