Diana was the youngest daughter of John Spencer, Viscount Althorp, later the eighth Earl Spencer and his first wife, Frances, Viscountess Althorp (formerly Honorable Frances Burke Roche Shand Kydd and then Frances). 1 July 1961, at 6.45 in the evening, Diana Frances Spencer was born at Park House, the house that her parents rented on the estate at Sandringham, England, Queen Elizabeth II and was baptized August 30 1961 Church of St. Mary Magdalene, her godfather is John Floyd. She was the fourth child of the couple, still having four brothers: Lady Sarah Spencer (born in 1955), Lady Jane Spencer (born in 1957), John Spencer (died January 12, 1960) and Charles Spencer (born 1964). Following the divorce of her parents, in 1969 (because of the relationship love of Lady Althorp heir of a fortune from selling wallpaper named Peter Shand Kydd), mother Diana took her and her younger brother to live her in a flat in Knightsbridge, London, where Diana went to school. For that Christmas, the children went to celebrate their father and he gave them permission to return to London from their mother. Lady Althorp asked the Tribunal custody of the children, but Lady Althorp mother's testimony against her daughter during the process contributed to the court's decision to grant custody of Diana and her brother of their father.
