Răspuns; 1)   a)  the boy's problem is that the TV set has broken down and he can't watch his favourite cartoon.

b)instead of watching the tv he can write a thankyou  letter for his Aunt Anne for his nice birtday present, can play with his dog or rearrange his stamp collection.

c) His best friend eddy comes to visit him

d)first they look at the stamp collection and swap stamps, then they eat the popcorn and talk about school, cars and girls.

e)The boy thinks that is better to be with a friend than  watching TV
